Sales and Marketing Intern

We're looking for a Sales and Marketing Intern to join our team at Obvious X.

As Obvious, we’ve built some exceptional digital products, many of which are well-loved by millions today — think Dunzo, Swiggy, Myntra and more. We’ve loved doing it so much that we want to go the full distance by ourselves, all systems go.

Obvious X is a high-agency and high-autonomy product arm dedicated to building homegrown products that solve problems we identify. We aspire to become a nesting space for products that will turn industries over their heads. 🎯 As a Sales and Marketing Intern, you will:

1. Participate in day-to-day sales functions at Pause, including

a. Scoping out leads through cold and warm outreach

b. Conducting product demos

c. Onboarding new customers

d. Providing support to existing and potential customers

2. Assist the communications lead in day-to-day marketing functions at Pause, including

a. Executing outreach plans to increase our product's presence on external platforms

b. Supporting the planning and execution of social media strategies (in particular, Twitter, LinkedIn and Reddit)

c. Contributing to and realising SEO strategies to increase organic traffic while working with an SEO consultant

d. Engaging with the larger industry through Slack communities and other external groups

💪 To do all this, it would be ideal if you have:

  • A deep interest in sales and marketing and a willingness to grow in the field
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Superb interpersonal written and spoken communication skills
  • A minimum of three months to take up this role


Brownie points if you have:

  • Familiarity with SEO and supporting tools such as Google Analytics, Keyword Planner, Ahrefs
  • Background or experience in the digital product design/ SaaS product industry

Please note: This paid internship requires significant face time with the team and clients. To avoid situations of chronic stretch, we prefer the role to be based out of India or within the IST timezone.
